How to Read Our Reviews with Discernment

Our website is filled with reviews on anime, manga, books, movies, and other forms of media. We write from a Christian perspective, but we are flawed humans who make mistakes.

Our goal is not to tell you a specific anime/film/show/etc. is absolutely safe for Christians. Please do not take our reviews as gospel or assume that just because we’ve watched it, that means it’s safe for Christians.

We try to be careful with the content we expose ourselves to, but we are not perfect. We’ve watched things that, in retrospect, were not great decisions, and sometimes we watch things that we probably shouldn’t.

We are not theologically trained and are not here to give you theological advice. Our writing and perspectives are not absolute or infallible; God’s Word is. We encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God, read your Bibles, pray, and seek God’s wisdom as you consider the reviews we present.

We know our views will inevitably vary from other people’s perspectives. The perspectives of our authors sometimes vary, and as the Lord continues to shape us into His will, those views may change too. That’s a part of walking with God—becoming more like Him, and sometimes that means releasing things that are important to us or becoming less legalistic about things we once were.

When it comes to grey areas, what convicts one believer may not convict another, and we encourage grace toward one another in these differences.

Our relationship with God is a lifelong journey.

Our goal here is to present the information you need to prayerfully consider an anime/show/movie etc., not give you a perfect answer that will be treated as gospel.

Additionally, our reviews are based on the perspective of the individual author. We make mistakes, and just because we interpret something one way doesn’t mean it’s the only way.

We are not responsible for the choices you make on what to watch/read/play etc. Our reviews are for information purposes only.
